Do #1: Self-Mastery Quiz on Search Skills

This is a five question quiz that serves as both practice (to reinforce and repeat difficult search concepts) and formative assessment. Learners can take the quiz as many times as they want. The quiz is housed in a learning management system and each response receives feedback. The quiz would be used for the following enabling objectives:

 

• Identify words in a search phrase that could be enclosed in quotation marks.

• Identify words in a search phrase that could be truncated with an asterisk.

• Differentiate between when to use OR and AND in search phrases.

• Choose strategies to apply to a revised search.
